Teacher Eligibility Test, usually referred to as TET is an Indian entrance examination conducted the recruitment of teachers. The examination is mandatory for all the candidates who are looking to get teaching jobs in government schools from Class 1 to Class 5. Paper 1 is meant for teachers who opt for Class 1 to Class 5 and Paper 2 for Class 6 to Class 8. The Teacher Eligibility Test is conducted by both Central government and State governments in India.
